The River Terrace Inn is a proud business partner of the Napa Land Trust
Napa is one of the most beautiful counties in Northern California--made up of 500,000 acres of breathtaking vistas, rolling hills, and sprawling vineyards. And although some of the surrounding areas have been developed, and redeveloped, Napa has continued to remain pristine in many respects. Who do we have to thank for all this natural beauty? A large part of the credit goes to the Land Trust of Napa Valley.
“Over the past 33 years that we've been in business, we've protected 52,000 acres in Napa. That’s more than 10% of county, which is one of reasons it’s so beautiful,” said Joel Tranmer, CEO of the Land Trust of Napa Valley. “To put this in perspective, Napa has 44,000 acres of vineyards-which means we've protected more land than there are vineyards.”
The Land Trust also sponsors regular hikes, ranging in difficulty level and terrain, on their many properties. These hikes are a great way for visitors to get to know the wild side of Napa and experience it’s beauty in purest form. Visit www.napalandtrust.org for a full list of upcoming hikes.
