CHARDONNAY GOLF CLUB

Napa - Located in Jamieson Canyon at the gateway to the Napa Valley wine country, Chardonnay Golf Club is a semi-private golf facility with 27 holes of championship golf. Oxbow Park Preserve
What is that natural setting behind the hotel? We a fortunate to have a front row seat to one of the bay areas nature preserves. The Oxbow Park Preserve is situated across the Napa River from the hotel and offers our guests a serene back drop to their Napa Valley visit. The park recently opened to the public and offers a wonderful picnic area and nature walking trails.

Napa River
One of the largest rivers in California, the Napa River flows through Napa Valley on a 55-mile journey from the headwaters of Mount St. Helena to San Pablo Bay. The river winds through mountain slopes, vineyards, pastures, grasslands and downtown Napa, and is home to a diversity of wildlife, fish and birds. The Napa River is one of the most popular fishing destinations on the West Coast, brimming with steelhead, Chinook salmon, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, white catfish, sunfish, brown bullhead, Sacramento pike minnow, Pacific lamprey, and freshwater shrimp. Napa River Adventures offers rental canoes and kayaks and luxury riverboat tours.

Alston Park
Napa’s Alston Park offers easy hiking and views of Napa Valley. With 157 natural acres of open space and breathtaking views of the city, Napa's majestic beauty is ideal for nature walks, hiking, jogging, horseback riding, mountain biking and picnics. Canine Commons offers 3 acres of enclosed space for dogs to roam and play freely. Explore the 26-acre Cherry Orchard at the southwest corner of the park and let your dog enjoy leash-free exercise.

Old Faithful Geyser of California
Calistoga - One of the most famous Faithful Geysers in the world, this natural extravaganza of erupting boiling hot water takes place about every 30 to 40 minutes, shooting thousands of gallons of water 60 feet into the air. Old Faithful appears as a shallow pool of water until the main attraction. With Mount St. Helena in the background, the atmosphere offers an idyllic setting for family outings
and picnics.

Petrified Forest
Calistoga - This beautiful forest takes you back 3 million years as you follow the trail of majestic petrified redwood trees in a grove in the Napa Valley wine country. The Petrified Forest was created 3.5 million years ago when Mount St. Helena erupted and buried the giant trees in volcanic ash. Take a ½-mile walking tour of the spectacular upper meadow and learn about the volcanic activity and forest petrification. A 100 foot-high Ash Fall contains deposits of volcanic material. See rare native wildflowers, live oaks, crystals, and visit the scenic overview of Mount St. Helena. The park is a perfect setting for adventure sports like hiking and biking.

Carolyn Parr Nature Center - Napa
Located in Napa, the Carolyn Parr Nature Center depicts animals of five local habitats and houses a children’s nature library. This nature center offers tours and interpretive programs aimed at demonstrating the impact that civilization has on the natural world.

John F. Kennedy Park - Napa
John F. Kennedy Park is one of the City of Napa's most diverse parks. Kennedy Park offers various activities including softball, soccer, volleyball, boat launching, picnicking, hiking, a children's playground and a beautiful golf courses.

Bothe - Napa Valley State Park - Calistoga
Located in the heart of Napa Valley, this beautiful state park offers 1,800 forested acres with elevations ranging from 400 to 2,000 feet. Bothe-Napa Valley State Park features pine and redwood groves and scenic trails for hiking, picnics, swimming and camping. The park has a volcanic geology hidden under its thick vegetation.

Di Rosa Preserve
Located on 217 beautiful acres, di Rosa Preserve is a natural oasis featuring one of the largest and most significant Bay Area art collections in the world. Encompassing beautiful vineyards, olive trees, a 35 acre lake, and a natural wildlife preserve, di Rosa Preserve features over 2,000 works of art by more than 800 artists displayed in harmony with nature - in magnificent outdoor arenas, a 130-year old winery-turned-residence, an ancient olive grove and on the lake. The Greenhouse Gallery features a diversity of changing exhibitions. Explore Milliken Peak and stunning habitats of oak woodland, native grasses, ferns, herbs and wildflowers. Jarvis Conservatory
Opened in 1995, Jarvis Conservatory provides training and workshops for artists. A magnificent theater and an acoustic marvel with 220 seats, the Conservatory is dedicated to teaching and performing serious art forms, including dance, film, music and puppetry. Workshops in Zarzuela, Opera and French Baroque Dances are continuously part of the programs offered. Check out the Art Film showings on Saturday Nights at the Conservatory theater and the Saturday Opera Night featuring singers from around the San Francisco Bay Area on the first Saturday of each month. Napa Valley Opera House
Located in downtown Napa, the beautifully restored Napa Valley Opera House is a historic treasure showcasing world-renowned artists, performers and musicians. Since 1879 this magnificent theater has entertained and inspired the people of Napa Valley with exciting opera performances, concerts -jazz, classical, rock and country - comedy and family shows.
